Mike Howard was a member of our Metro Detroit Leadership Board that passed away suddenly in April of 2022. Mike loved FCA and was a former wrestling coach. He had a passion for our Michigan FCA Sports Camp and came to serve each year. This scholarship fund will allow a high school or middle school wrestler in SE Michigan attend our camp in Mike's honor. Last year we were able to sponsor 13 wrestlers from SE Michigan to our Michigan FCA Sports Camp.

Michigan FCA Sports Camp 2023
The Michigan FCA Sports Camp is for athletes and coaches who want to develop their athletic skills. Outstanding instruction, personal skill development and intense competition prepare the camper for future athletic competition. Our camp is a sport specific camp in which the camper selects one sport for the entire camp experience.
Last summer, 38 athletes were sponsored at our Michigan FCA Sports Camp at Spring Arbor University from June 27th to 30th. Over 400 campers, coaches and empowered volunteers gathered for perspiration and inspiration.

Metro Detroit FCA Team Basketball Camp 2023
Last summer, we were able to launch our first Metro Detroit FCA Team Basketball Camp at Rochester University. 72 athletes and their families and 18 coaches were served on June 10th and 11th. Each team was assigned a Character Coach and the Gospel was shared along with some powerful testimonies. We are planning to invite 12 teams in summer of 2023.
